Waltrip High School

Next Tuesday, March 9th, at 6:30 pm, a planning meeting will be held in the Waltrip High School cafeteria to make plans for the upcoming Waltrip 50th anniversary celebration and we hope you can attend. The school was opened in 1960 and the first graduating class was in 1961.  (Last fall, the Waltrip senior class held a pre-anniversary celebration that served as a fundraiser for their Project Prom.)  Now the school and Waltrip alumni are making plans for the official anniversary celebration.  The current Principal at the school, Steve Siebenaler, is being very supportive of the upcoming official school anniversary celebration and has pledged to work with the alumni group for a successful event.  We are attempting to contact as many  Waltrip alumni and former teachers, staff.....as possible, and hope to have a website and database set up shortly.  Please spread the word about the March 9th meeting and help us contact any Waltrip alumni, class officers, teachers.....that you may be in touch with.  There will be another  event going on in the school in the auditorium Tuesday night, so be sure and come to the cafeteria for the Anniversary meeting.
