MARGARET HUTCHINGS HOWARD
BORN - August 19, 1949
DIED - September 30, 2011

Margaret Hutchings Howard journeyed to praise the Lord with the choir of angels and saints in Heaven on September 30, 2011. As a devoted daughter, she spent her last 2 years as primary caregiver of her beloved parents. A loving and devoted mother to her daughter Tracie and grandmother to Tracie's two children. She leaves many fond memories of joy and laughter with them having recently vacationed to Branson, Missouri in March 2011. Her passion in life was to teach. With 16 years of experience teaching math and science, many teachers admired her exceptional success with students. Margaret truly possessed the Holy Spirit's charismatic gift of teaching. She adored all her students and prayed the rosary for everyone daily. Margaret graduated from the University of Houston with a B.A. in Education. She taught at St. Theresa Catholic School, Caraway Intermediate School and Spring Oaks Middle School. Margaret is survived by her daughter Tracie Ann Howard Watkins grandchildren, Clelia Michelle Watkins and Michael Warren Watkins; her parents, Pauline and Warren Hutchings; sisters, Maria Hutchings, Sharon Hutchings McLeod and niece, Jessica Ann McLeod and several cousins. Margaret will truly be missed by family, friends, fellow teachers and students. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2011 in the Chapel of Pat H. Foley & Company from 5:30 p.m. until the time of Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 9915 Hollister Dr., Houston, TX, 77040. She will be laid to rest at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery.

Mary Ryan (Bell)

Margaret was a very gentle person who was loyal to her friends.  I remember her as being vivacious and always looking at the positives in every situation.
