August 20, 1947 - February 13, 2009


JIMMY L. TEETS passed away on Friday, February 13, 2009 in Houston, Texas. He was 61 years of age. He was born on August 20, 1947 in Houston, graduating from Waltrip High School in 1967. Mr. Teets worked for the Houston Independent School District for over 34 years. An extremely loving son, husband, and father, Jimmy was a dedicated, hard worker, with an avid passion for hunting. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Sue; mother Mildred, daughter Jennifer and brother Randall. He is also survived by stepsons Glen Gipson, Wayne Gipson and wife Sherry, and their children and grandchildren. Jimmy and Sue met in Sunday school at First Baptist Church and later married in the home of his mother by their Sunday school teacher, Barney Walker. Jimmy had a compassionate circle of friends, neighbors, and co-workers amongst them his longtime best buddy Jimmie Null. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 17th, from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. at Heights Funeral Home. Service will be held Wednesday, February 18th at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Heights Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Oaks Cemetery, Houston, TX. Jimmy was a close neighbor.  I did not know him well but he always was a very nice guy.  RIP

I knew Jimmy in High School. However it wasn't until the days of Kenny Stablers"Diamodback" Night club that we became moderately closer. I am saddened by the fact that I'm just now learning of his passing. Another leaf has fallen from the trees of Oak Forest..................
