LARRY WAYNE KOONCE, 55, born November 22, 1948, passed away June 7, 2004 after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. He was a native Houstonian and proud Texan. He graduated from Waltrip H.S. and the University of Texas, where he was a member and treasurer of the Sigma Chi fraternity. He received a master's degree in accounting from the University of Houston. Larry worked as a CPA and investment banker. He volunteered with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, was a member of the Texas Exes and of the Fulshear U.M.C. He was preceeded in death by his father, George Felix Koonce. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne, his mother, Dorothy (Dottie), his sons David (wife Portia) and Todd, and many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be from 2 - 8 PM Wednesday, with services Thursday at 10:00 AM at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow in Woodlawn Garden of Memories Cemetery. Contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society or to the Chaplains of the Methodist Hospital.
