I regret not hearing of Ronnie's passing away earlier. Ronnie and I were in "Cub Scouts", Boy Scouts, K. Smith Elementary...etc together. It was an impossibility to not like Ronnie. He and his older brother "Mike" grew up within walking distance from where I grew up. My belated condolences to all of his family members. I am saddened upon hearing of this news........
Beverly Koteras (Young)
So sorry to hear of Ronnie's passing. Had great fun with him and our "gang" and I remember him to be a great guy. I send my condolences to his family and pray that they will find strength in knowing Ronnie is at peace.
Pat Clooney (King)
Below is a personal email FROM Ronnie's daughter, Susan Smith, TO Carrol Johnson:
Good morning Carrol,
My name is Susan Smith. I am Ron's (papa's) daughter. My daughter, Skylar, forwarded me your email requesting information on his military service for your class website on the "In Memory" page. He was a staff sargent in the Air Force until he was honorably discharged in April of 1979, when he moved with his family to Midland, Tx.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do for you.
Kind regards,
Susan G. Smith
