This picture is of Janie, her mother, and her sister Liz (Lawrence) Hansen and was taken Dec, 2000. Janie passed away 9 months later on Sept, 12, 2001 - one day after 9/11. Thank you Liz for this lovely photo.
Janie and I were friends all the way from Stevens Elementary until we graduated. We were both mid-termers and went to summer school to get in a larger class. We were even in the same Brownie troop and back door neighbors in Candlelight Estates. She had a swimming pool. Janie was always so funny - what a personality! She laughed mostly at herself. I will never forget Janie Lawrence.
Note: Preceded in death by her father, Cecil R. Lawrence. She lives on in 48 individuals through her generous life gifts as an organ donor. Born in San Antonio, Tx.
