Per (2) posts on the “Oak Forest Original Group” Facebook page, Robert Tessier lost his life to COVID on Thursday, January 28, 2021..  The posts read:

1. From Doug Zachry: “Asking for prayers for the family of my cousin Robert "Bobby"Tessiers who passed away last night from complications of Covid. Bobby was born and raised on Wakefield along with his brothers Jimmy and Micky and sister Sharon. Bobby was one of the first HPD helicopter pilots back in the 70's & 80's and mentored many that followed in his footsteps. Bobby was a great family man, pilot and a gentle giant that will be greatly missed. Love you big man and I'll see you on the other side. RIP. Please keep his family in your prayers!"

2. On Robert’s own Facebook page: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of the best husband, wonderful father, amazing grandfather and excellent mentor, co worker and Police officer. Robert E. Tessier passed away on Thursday Jan 28 2021. We welcome you all to post stories and love on his page. Please keep the family in your prayers during this time.
