Beverly Michel Schaffer, 63, passed away peacefully Tuesday September 18, 2012. A loving wife and adoring mother, Mrs. Schaffer always put her family first and blessed those around her with unconditional love, boundless joy, and unwavering support. She was also a valiant soldier in the battle against breast cancer, and she fought with strength, grace, and perseverance for over 11 years. Mrs. Schaffer is survived by husband of 35 years, William Michael Schaffer and daughter Meredith Alicia Schaffer, as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate her remarkable life will be held on Thursday September 27, 2012 at 2:00pm at Emanu El Memorial Park, 8341 Bissonnet St

I was so sorry to hear about Michel's passing. It sounds like she grew into a wonderful woman, which doesn't surprise me since as a girl she was always so sweet, kind, and friendly. She's one of the people I remember most fondly from Waltrip days.
